Tour Uros, llachon, Amantani and Taquile island (3D/2N)
DESCRIPTION:
Day 01: Puno – Uros Floating Islands and Peninsula of Llachón.
At 7:40 to 8:00 a.m. in the morning, pick you up from your downtown hotel by our local guide and transfer to the port of the Like Titicaca, 8:15 a.m. our boat leaves to the floating islands of the Uros. (30 min travel approx.), to visit two floating islands our guide will explain about their history of its inhabitants, technical constructions of its islands – based aquatic plant cattails and its main activities.
Then, we continue with our trip to Peninsula of Llachón (2-hour trip approx.) arrival to the port of the Peninsula of Llachón, where local families welcome us, we are going to settle in the families’ house and we will have lunch.
After lunch, the families will perform a demonstration of their traditional costumes and handicrafts, in the afternoon will be free to make optional activities as; (kayak, sailing boats) in coordination with the families and your guide or you can make trek to the Cerro Mirador (Auki-Carus). Dinner at the farmhouse and rest.
Day 02: Peninsula of Llachón – Amantani:
At 8:00 a.m. After breakfast, we will observe the small demonstration of the locals on the progress and use of medicinal plants, participation in activities in the area depending on the season.
Then head to the port and continuing our trip to Amantani Island (45 min. trip approx.) arriving to the port of the Amanatni Island, walk uphill to the families houses (30 minutes approx.) where we are going to settle in the rural house and we will taste the typical lunch. After lunch, time to rest and explore the island.
In the afternoon, about 04:00 p.m. we will uphill hike to the top of the island at this point we can see the ceremonial center of the Incas such as (Pacha Tata and Pacha Mama).
In addition, from this point you can see the Andes mountain range and an incredible sunset after this, go back home and have dinner, at night you can participate in the folk dance called as; (Peña Show) with local families and other visitors to the community (optional).
Day 03: Amantani – Taquile Islands and Puno
At 7:30 a.m. After breakfast, we will departure to the Taquile Island, (1-hour trip approx.) arrive at the port, walk uphill along a path for about (45 min approx.) until you reach the main square of Taquiile. along the way we will enjoying its unique landscape and we will see the typical lifestyle of the locals that still maintain their customs, traditions and religious rituals.
Once in the Small Village of the island, we can visit the communal handicraft after this lunch in a typical restaurant, families will perform a small demonstration of their textile, and then we left with destination to Puno and transfer to hotels in the Puno city.
