Package for holiday parties in Arequipa and the Colca canyon (3D/2N)

DESCRIPTION:

DAY 1: CITY TOUR AREQUIPA:

The starting point will be at the airport or at the bus station depending on the time of your arrival, we will organize your reception and transfer to your hotel in Arequipa. 

At a coordinated time we pick you up from your hotel, and begin our tour with one of the most attractive viewpoints of the city, called “Carmen Alto”  where we will appreciate the  terraces or pre-Inca terraces and the traditional agriculture of the white city.

Then we will move to the district of Yanahuara to appreciate from its vantage point the white city in all its magnitude and its three imposing volcanoes that surround it: El Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu,  continuing with our journey we went to the Barrio San Lázaro, the most old of Arequipa.

Then, we will visit the Founder’s Mansion, a virreinal construction of the 18th century, which houses pieces of art from different eras and collectibles.

(Optional visit) The Monastery of Santa Catalina is the most important and impressive religious construction monument in Peru. Characterized by its narrow streets, gardens and squares that have Spanish names and remember the old neighborhood of Granada and Seville. Later we will return to your hotel.

DAY 2: AREQUIPA – CHIVAY:

At 07:30 am Our mobility will pick you up from your hotel and we will begin the excursion to the northeast of Arequipa, until you reach  Pampa Cañahuas (National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas) habitat of beautiful South American camelids such as: vicuñas and guanacos. In the bofedales of Tojra we will be able to appreciate a variety of migratory birds, among which are the flamingos, Andean gulls, wild ducks, among others.

Continuing with our tour we will arrive at the  Viewpoint of the Volcanoes, the highest area of ​​the road  (4,800 meters above sea level) from where we appreciate a large part of the Western Cordillera.

We will arrive to Chivay at 01:30 pm approximately, where we will have lunch, and we will settle in our lodging, we will visit the popular thermal baths in La Calera, a paradisiacal place, surrounded by mountains where the water flows from the interior of the hills at a temperature Maximum of 80º C, which are combined with cold water in a pool until reaching 35º C, ideal temperature for a relaxing bath, then we will return to our lodging.

DAY 3: CHIVAY – COLCA CANYON:

At 06:00 am  after breakfast, we will go to the Cruz del Cóndor Natural Viewpoint,  to appreciate the canyon and the impressive flight of the condors.

During our trip we appreciate beautiful views of the Colca River, tombs dating from pre-Columbian times, agricultural terraces over a thousand years old, among others. Our local guide will explain aspects about the different indigenous groups that inhabited and still inhabit the Colca Valley.

At the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, we will have 1h and 30 min approx. to admire the natural beauty that the canyon offers us and also to observe the majestic  flight of the Condors and make small walks in the surroundings.

 Then we will return to Chivay, in the route we will visit some native towns like: Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque that lodge beautiful colonial churches. In the town of Chivay we will make a last stop to have lunch. Finally we will return to the city of Arequipa, arriving approximately at 5:00 pm. According to your schedule of return, be it to the airport or bus station, the transfer from your hotel in the city of Arequipa is included.
